An excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to grow with one of the nation’s leading immigration law firms.

We’re seeking a driven, collaborative immigration attorney to join our team in our Washington, DC office . This position is hybrid but requires in-office presence at least two days per week .

About the Role

As an Immigration Attorney at our firm, you’ll handle a wide range of business immigration matters, including:

  • High-volume nonimmigrant (NIV) and immigrant (IV) petitions
  • PERM labor certifications
  • National Interest Waivers
  • O-1 and EB-1 petitions
  • Asylum and family-based cases

In addition to employment-based matters, you may also represent clients in complex individual cases involving family-based immigration, asylum, and other humanitarian or nuanced casework , adding depth and variety to your practice.

You’ll collaborate with other attorneys and manage legal assistants and paralegals in preparing and filing immigration casework. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-integrity team environment and wants to make a meaningful impact for clients facing critical immigration challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a busy caseload across a variety of complex business and individual immigration matters
  • Ensure high-quality, timely case preparation and filing
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegal managers to align priorities and meet deadlines
  • Provide thoughtful, strategic advice and maintain a trusted advisor relationship with clients
  • Mentor and direct legal assistants and paralegals, including overseeing assignments and timelines
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements within the firm
  • Participate in training development for both internal staff and clients

Who You Are

  • A licensed attorney with at least 2 years of business immigration experience
  • Experience as a paralegal, law clerk, or in a similar role is a plus, but attorneys with fewer than 2 years of legal experience will not be considered
  • Possess strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Empathetic and responsive, with a deep understanding of the personal and professional pressures clients face
  • Comfortable answering questions within ethical boundaries for client communication
  • Proficient—or eager to become proficient—in the technology we use, including our case management system, Microsoft Office, and ClickUp
  • Collaborative, organized, and invested in fostering a respectful, solutions-focused team culture

Minimum Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD)
