Job Description

American International Industries (A.I.I.) is seeking a Chemist eager to learn, innovate, and grow in the exciting world of beauty and personal care! In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with our R&D team to develop and refine high-quality personal care formulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards. You'll contribute to product development, testing, documentation and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the formulation and development of cosmetic products, including skincare, haircare, and personal care items.
  • Conduct stability and compatibility testing on new and existing formulations.
  • Maintain and update formulation records, batch sheets, and raw material specifications.
  • Support raw material research, sourcing, and evaluation to enhance product innovation.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all lab work and test results.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing and regulatory, to support product launches.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in cosmetic formulation or R&D.
  • Basic knowledge of raw materials, emulsions, surfactants, and active ingredients in cosmetics.
  • Experience with stability testing, product evaluations, and quality control is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
